Privacy

• Your email address, because that is how you sign in. There are no passwords on FlatFwd — we email you a link instead.
• Your name, and your college if you choose to add it. You pick the name other students see; it does not have to be your full legal name.
• Whatever you put in a listing — the room, the area, the costs, the description, the household details and any photos you upload.

We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. There is no third-party pixel on this site. The only cookies we set are the ones that keep you signed in.

Your email address is never shown to other students. It is used to sign you in and nothing else.

A published listing is public — the room, the costs, the area, the description, the household details and the photos can be read by anyone, signed in or not. Your chosen name appears alongside it. A draft is visible only to you.

Listings that lapse or are handed over stop being public, but we keep the record. Please do not put ID numbers, bank details or photos of documents in a listing.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. Two companies handle it because they run the site:

• Supabase stores the database, handles sign-in emails, and holds uploaded photos.
• Vercel hosts the site and serves every page you load.

We would also hand over data if we were legally required to, or if it were genuinely necessary to protect someone from harm.

Your account and listings stay until you ask us to delete them. Deleting your account removes your profile and your listings, including the drafts.

Sign-in links expire an hour after they are sent and work once.

Email hello@flatfwd.com from the address you signed up with and ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. We will do it. There is no form and no automated process yet — it is a person reading the email.
